Debut Ball Tournament

Postby Borris » Sat Oct 24, 2009 10:35 pm

Hey guys,

Many thanks to Keith for organising such a good tourney and thanks to everyone I met for a very enjoyable day out.

Having a 17 player tournament for the first official Perth gathering with no-one travelling from outside Scotland is really good.

I had a great day and really enjoyed ousting all the imbued players that I seemed to be stuck with as prey/grand prey in every game! :D

Well done to Lukasz for the win, I was so close but yet so far!

Thanks again everyone,
Cheers,
Edd
Goodbye and goodnight to you all... whatever you are.

I would just like to thank you all for making the journey. All seemed to have a great day and lots of positive noises about repeating the event.

Definately good so see so many players in Scotland all in 1 place :)

Looking forward to meeting up with you guys again
Ok,ok. I get it now, but I do need to ask just one more thing. This has been driving me nuts, so I need to ask. What the hell happened to the squirrels ?

Lukasz has got the bug! Would be good to arrange something else but most likely into next year now.. November and December are busy months.

Would like to try and arrange something in Inverness in the future but depends if people would travel?

What we need is Jekyl and Hyde to be in Perth and we would be sorted!

Guys, several points here.

#1: do all players need a VEKN id b4 i submit the report to WW, if so i just need id's for Colin and Karen.

#2: i can post on the forum a general report on the day including results per table per match, though i can obviously onlt add flavour to teh matches i was in. Is that what you are after ?

#3: due to general noises of approval i would like to offer a provisional dates of either Sat 13th Feb, Sat 27th Feb or Sat 6th March for another Event ?

I would suggest 27th or 6th as easier, and as Alb quit rightly points out November and December are usually uber busy and January is usually uber skint !

point of pool for your thoughts ?

#1. Yes - please create one for your players or have them do it on the white-wolf website.

Once you've done this you can submit your results online (requires knowledge of players names, vekn ids, gws, vps, matches played and final placing being 1st, 2nd [comes up as 3rd on the scoring as they never changed it shrug) or 6+)

#2 sounds great!

#3 equally great.

Keep up the positive work!

If you can generate VEKN numbers for Colin and Karen just go for it. Saves me the hassle of chasing them to do it themselves! Then we can get them posted under the VEKN post so we have a copy of them.

Agree with the idea of another tournament and happy to travel. Obviously will depend on other factors as to whether players can attend or not but 27th/6th sounds good.

Would like to see a full report - I posted one from my games on a different thread but I like to read others opinions.

Keith

Can I throw in the 13th March as a possible date? 2 of the Inverness players will be in Perth that weekend and would not be able to make the other dates but could make it on the 13th.

I said to them I would ask....

Cheers
