I did try this (and built it for you for a random event maybe?) and I found that it was a little hard to play:

1.blood issues are an issue due to Nec being expensive - even with the heidlebergs and marionettes and leonardo

2. Mattias only having nec is very distressing and I see you've gone for a nec skill master to fix that so that might help a lot.

3. with this mix of the crypt there's little opportunity to use governs (hence none in there) or sudario refraction and I think these are two of the best cards Giovanni have access to :(

Not a bad deck just suffers when compared to other shambles or mattias decks.

Yeah, I dont think it will ever be as good as straight Zombie, or say !ven marrionette - but it uses le din and my favourite bearded tramp, and also has good use for using monocle of clarity :)

I tried to make it a bit simpler as I agree it was a little hard to play in previous incarnations.

That said I do think it is viable for more casual games.

Ambroisius should be Tye Cooper.

Eight Conditioning seems like a lot to me, but that's probably just a difference in playstyles.

please recall that soem of the conditionings will be played by 'volunteers' to the beared army and that there are no governs - 8 doesn'ty seem unreasonable in 80!

i'm more concerned with using monocle in a friendly deck!

Monocle is there just so you know when to use le din. Le din can be very bad if you help your prey cycle into that wake!

I once faced a fairly nasty Giovanni deck that was able to use Puppeteer to good effect to steal small vampires. Might be useful here.

I was going to suggest a possible include of Acquired Ventrue Assets to ease the blood issues. Jozxyqk and Vtesocrates convinced me a while back that it's actually a reasonable card - and if someone burns it instead of bleeding you, it's still a reasonable outcome. Then I actually counted the number of Giovanni you have, and was surprised at how low it is.

If you're going to do this, surely you have to use Martyr's Resilience...? ;)

I described Powerbase: Baranquilla in the same way to John. Even if you never pull a single pool off it, it's still probably profitable relative to the other actions they might have taken instead.

Have you seen Yannick Gilbert's recent Marionette deck:

Hmmm ... I like this very much, obviously the Hordes can rush your prey's anarchs too (as opposed to you simply stealing and burning them with the Monkey Marionette @ Dawn combo).

Verrrrry interesting.

How do you get their Vampires to be Anarchs so they can play the Monkey Wrenches? Just encourage them via Revolt?

Methinks they are simply encouraged.

Nothing stops your own vampires playing monkey wrenches and refilling them through the Castles.
